A family blog focusing on days out and attractions in the North West and across the UK, with an emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility.

Welcome to Walk or Wheel, our family blog of days out, experiences, and holidays with a particular emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility, as our eldest son Charlie has cerebral Palsy resulting in him being a full time wheelchair user.

We are a big family of 6 including Dad (Dan), Mum (Jo) our 3 boys aged 8, 8 and 3 (Charlie, George and Thomas) and our daughter Hettie who is very much a newborn!

The aim of our blog is to document our family days out, experiences and holidays including how accessible and inclusive it is for Charlie as well as our other children. We live in the North West so a lot of our blogs and guides will be based around here, however we do travel far and wide so will be reviewing many places in the UK and further afield.

We hope that you will both enjoy and find this blog of use for your family and that it will help you to plan your days out based on our experiences. The Maley’s x

Dovestone Reservoir

Wet Wheels Yorkshire

Whilst preparing for our annual trip to Whitby, and doing our usual research to see if there were any Wheelchair friendly experiences we may have missed we stumbled on Wet Wheels. A quick look over the Facebook page and after watching a few of their videos...

Hollywood Bowl Ashton

We visited Hollywood bowl, based in Ashton, with "State of the art lanes, a restaurant and arcades". Normal pricing for a game for 2 adults and 3 kids, is from £24.69.  However, keep your eyes out for vouchers as we went on a bank Holiday Monday and found...
